High-level architecture
ServiceNow acts as the system of engagement for workflows, cases, requests, and approvals. Box acts as the governed content platform. Reva's integration layer connects ServiceNow records with Box content, metadata, signatures, and document generation patterns.
Authentication
Enterprise authentication typically relies on the customer's existing SSO model. Users access ServiceNow and Box using approved identity and access controls.
Content flow
Documents are stored in Box. ServiceNow records maintain business context and references to associated content locations, reducing the need to store large files directly as ServiceNow attachments.
Security and governance
Box permissions, enterprise policies, metadata, collaboration controls, and audit capabilities remain central to content governance. ServiceNow roles and business rules can help control which experiences and actions are available to users.
